Canada avens has white petals that rarely extend beyond its sepals. It blooms in spring and thrives in shady locations, particularly in southwestern Quebec.
The stem of this plant grows to between 30 and 100 cm in length, and its fruit is between 10 and 12 mm in diameter. Its basal leaves are generally arranged in three rows.
