The red maple is a large tree with a pyramidal shape that becomes rounded. Its very attractive foliage is pale green in summer and scarlet red in autumn. Its bark is smooth and pale gray when young, becoming dark grayish-brown and deeply furrowed. Indeed, it cracks and peels with age.
How is it used? This tree is generally used to make furniture, moldings, and architectural millwork.
It also produces sap that is made into syrup!
